Meetings scheduled using the room's scheduling display will use a randomly-generated password. To turn on required passwords for your scheduled Zoom meetings, you will need to access your Zoom settings at. Once you've set a password, you will need to provide it to your meeting invitees.Scroll down and Click the red "Save" button.Click Require Meeting Password (one will auto fill or you can manually enter one of your choice).Scroll down and Click "Edit this Meeting".If you do not already have passwords set for your previously scheduled meetings, we recommend deleting the existing meeting and scheduling a new meeting and re-sending the invite to your participants.
Previously Scheduled Zoom Meetings When you log into, you will notice a new warning on your scheduled meetings " denotes no password ".
We recommend that you proactively turn these controls on so that you will be able to continue to use Zoom without interruption. Common names cannot be used as your personal link.On May 30th, 2020, Zoom will begin requiring passwords for all Zoom meetings, PMI (Personal Meeting ID) meetings, and Zoom Webinars. Must not have the same number 5 or more times consecutively like 11111xxxxx, x11111xxxx, xx11111xxx, xxx11111xx, xxxx11111x, xxxxx11111.Must not use the same 8 digits like 222 x22 222 x.Must not repeat 3 digit groups like 222 444 777 x or x 222 444 777.Must not repeat 3 digit groups like 247 247 247 x or x 247 247 247.Start with 2 - 9 (cannot start with 1 or 0).The number you choose must meet the following criteria. There are some restrictions for customizing your Personal Meeting ID. (Restrictions for Customizing your Personal Meeting ID Check if you want to use your Personal Meeting ID for instant meetings.Enter in the ID or personal link desired.Select Edit next to Personal Meeting ID.You can start it at anytime or schedule it for a future use. Your Personal Meeting ID or Personal Meeting Room is assigned to you automatically as a permanent virtual room.
